Corporate Social Responsibility

The management of Sun Island Bali Hotel Group is committed to supporting the local community through various activities, ranging from giving donations to those in need to actively supporting an award-winning national athlete from Bali. 

Sun Island Bali Group has held a number of charity programs and other corporate social responsibility activities since 2013. The welfare committee comprising of staffs from all hotels under Sun Island Bali organizes fund raising activities by inviting staffs and hotel guests to participate in the form of cash and goods donation. Sun Island Bali will continue to contribute to a wider scope in the community in years to come.
 

HOUSE RENOVATIONS

In 2013, Sun Island Bali sponsors a house renovation to a family who lived in a shabby house in a Karangasem village.
 

CHARITY GOODS DONATIONS

Sun Island Bali has organizes two charity donations of livestock, mattresses, clothing, and basic household needs to families who live in poverty. The first one was done in 2013; the charity was distributed to seven families in Duda Selat Village, Karangasem.

In 2014, the goods were distributed to nine families who live in poverty and those with family members with special need in a Karangasem village.
 

MONTHLY CHARITY STIPENDS

In 2014, Sun Island Bali gives monthly charity stipend for a period of one year to Syarifah, a widow with cervix cancer who lives in poverty in Amlapura. Ms. Syarifah lives with a child with a special need and an elderly mother.
 

FREE MEDICAL CHECK UP

Free medical check-up and treatments were organized in 2014 for a community in Duda Selat Village, Karangasem.
 

BLOOD DONATION

Blood donation is an annual program of Sun Island Bali. Staffs and management participate in the program that takes place in one of Sun Island Bali properties.
 

SUN ISLAND FOR THE CHAMPION

In November 2014, Sun Island Bali gave financial support to Maria Natalia Londa, Indonesian long jump athlete, who won gold medals in 2013 SEA Games and 2014 Asian Games, for her achievements despite minimum training facilities. Ms. Londa is also appointed Sun Island Bali’s brand ambassador for a year.

In the following year, 2015, Sun Island Bali acknowledged the achievements of Maria Natalia Londa after her victorious wins of 2 gold medals in 2015 SEA Games by giving the national athlete financial support for the 2nd time.
